The PADI Divemaster course expands the problem solving skills developed by the PADI Rescue Diver Program, and extends it from accident management and prevention scenarios to supervisory situations with student divers and certified divers.  Characteristics of a PADI Divemaster: Exemplary diving skills Rescue skill Professional-level knowledge of dive theory Competence as a certified assistant Dive management and supervision abilities Ethical role model behavior Enthusiasm and fun The PADI divemaster course is divided into three modules: Knowledge Development Module     *Role and characteristics of a PADI Divemaster     *Supervising diving activities for certified divers     *Assisting with student divers in training     *Dive Theory introduction     *Physics     *Physiology     *Equipment     *Decompression theory and dive tables     *Divemaster conducted programs     *Risk Management     *Business of diving     *Furthering your dive career Waterskills and Stamina Module     *400 Yard Swim     *15 minute tread     *800 Yard Swim using mask, fins, and snorkel     *100 Yard  Diver Tow     *Perform 18 basic scuba skills correctly with ease Practical Application Module    *Mapping Project     *Equipment Exchange     *Conduct scuba review     *Internship / Practical Training Exercises

Candidate Equipment and Classroom materials required: : mask, fins, snorkel tank regulator BCD exposure suit timing device or dive computer compass knife safety sausage Up to date log book RDP / Wheel Divemaster Manual Divemaster Workbook Encyclopedia of Diving All prequisite manuals (Open water, Advanced, Rescue)

Prequisites: Advanced Open Water Diver Certification PADI Rescue Diver 18 years old 20 logged dive to start course 60 logged dives to complete course

Costs: In addition to the required materials, a fee of $350 will be required to enter the divemaster program.  Divemaster PIC Card and application fee: $70 Estimated PADI Divemaster Insurance: $250
